Kim likes to take a holistic approach to pain and injury management and is passionate about Women’s Health.
About
Kim has been part of the Rolleston community since 2010, barring an OE in the UK where she mostly worked for the NHS. Kim has completed a Masters in Musculoskeletal Management with her dissertation covering pelvic floor muscle training in pregnancy.
Kim enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, and has specific interest in women’s pelvic health, treating issues such as pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, managing post-partum return to exercise, and management of incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. She also utilises therapeutic ultrasound for the treatment of blocked ducts and mastitis in breastfeeding and perineal pain following tearing.
With training also in acupuncture, dry needling, and pilates, Kim has an interest in combing her pelvic health knowledge with her acupuncture training, providing acupuncture for women’s health conditions such as painful periods, infertility, morning sickness and pelvic pain in pregnancy and for management of symptoms of menopause.
Likes
I like to take a holistic approach to pain and injury management, and I love tackling longstanding and complex issues. I enjoy treating a wide range of conditions including pelvic floor issues, sports (and other) injuries, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain.
I especially like working with those who wouldn’t define themselves as athletic.
Living Active
I enjoy strength training group fitness classes and going for walks with my family.
