What happens in a Podiatry appointment?

Depending upon the type of condition you present with we will generally perform a thorough examination of your site of pain.

  1. We will often assess your foot and lower limb bio mechanics to see if your gait pattern may be a predisposing factor in the condition you have.
  2. We will review you walking or running and use video equipment to analyse this more thoroughly.
  3. If we identify an anomaly we will often recommend the fitting of an orthotic into your shoe as well as providing you with a management plan that frequently includes exercises.
  4. For basic foot care we can immediately treat superficial skin and nail conditions. We can even perform minor surgery for more troublesome nail problems.
